Shifts in Mapping Online symposium, 20-21 January 2021

The symposium Shifts in Mapping brings together renowned scientists, activists, artists and designers from the fields of cartography and media studies. The aim of the symposium is to discuss current positions, projects, concepts and methods and to put them in a larger context. Furthermore, by promoting a dialogue between science, art, design and technology, the symposium represents a contribution to the design-artistic and technological discussions and digital processes of cartography. The medium and the practice of mapping are critically discussed and further developed in the context of the digital.
