About the Orpheus Instituut

With its primary focus on artistic research in music, the Orpheus Institute is an international center of excellence. The institute’s workings are structured on two pillars: the research clusters and the doctoral curriculum (docARTES). The administrative office has a supporting role for both. Research clusters are headed by Principal investigators; along with their respective teams, they work out and realize long-term artistic-research projects involving classical as well as experimental new music, as well as historical instruments and digital technology.
