Registration for X-disciplinary Congress: To Research or Not To Research in the Post-disciplinary Academy?

You are welcome to join in person or online our X-disciplinary Congress on Artistic Research and Related Matters at Vilnius Academy of Arts (Lithuania), October 14-17th, 2021.

 

More than 70 artists and researchers will join in person and online for 4 days and nights to discuss the urgent question "To Research or Not To Research in the Post-disciplinary Academy?"

 

Congress will take place on-site in Vilnius Academy of Arts and in the new artists' cultural complex SODAS 2123. Some of the contributions will be also available on Zoom. The Congress is organised on the occasion of 10 years anniversary of doctoral programmes in the arts in Lithuania. We hope that after dozens of online conferences, finally artists and researchers can meet in person, discuss, network and exchange. During the same time Contemporary Art Fair ArtVilnius’21 will happen as well and you can experience the lively art life of the city.

 

Keynote talks will be delivered by Maria Fusco (DJCAD, University of Dundee), Nomeda & Gediminas Urbonas (MIT) and they are going to be followed by milestone lectures by John Hillman, Lina Navickaitė-Martinelli, David Maroto, Pierre d'Alancaisez, Kristoffer Gansing, Rachel Armstrong & Rolf Hughes.

 

Next to the presentations we will provide an intensive artistic program with open artists-designers-researchers studios, performances, concerts, screenings, and workshops. Most of the artistic evening programme will happen only on-site with no online streaming.
