Call for papers submission until July 3, 2022

 

The call for papers is open until 3 July 2022 for publication in issue no. 6 of the 2nd series of the journal PSIAX: Studies and Reflections on Drawing, which will deal with issues related to "Writing on, for and with Drawing".

 

There are various possible fields of action where we can find the relationship between writing and drawing: in the "visual" translation, as in the classical ekphrasis; in the theoretical and critical reflection on the practice of its multiple imagetic connections; in the use of the free exercise of expression and composition; in writing itself when it becomes an image or visual object. 

 

PSIAX#6 of the journal intends to show drawings, artistic projects, images, articles, essays, contextualizing or critical texts that give an account of and/or problematize the experience of writing about, for and with drawing.

 

Any format submitted (text or project) for evaluation should be sent to psiaxmag@gmail.com until the 3rd July 2022, in any of the following languages: Portuguese, Spanish, French, English and  Italian. 

 

Contributions as articles, essays, texts, should have no less than 11000 and no more than and 2100  characters, including spaces. Proposals must include an abstract with a maximum of 300 words in Portuguese and English; 4 keywords and a biographical note with 50 words. 

 

Written contributions should be sent in a single word file, with the text in Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 line spacing and justified. Footnotes and references should be formatted in size 10, single line spacing, according to APA style 6. Bibliographical references should be integrated into the text. The quotations up to 3 lines should be inserted in the text between inverted commas and followed by the appropriate references. Quotations longer than 3 lines must be separated from the text using Times New Roman font, size 10, single spaced, justified and indented 4 cm from the left margin. 

 

Each artistic project contribution (drawings, art projects, images) must have a limit of 10 images. The images, in .jpg or .tiff format, with a minimum of 7.5 x 10 cm, 300 dpi, must be identified in the text body and in the file, accompanied by a technical file and referenced, and must include an abstract with a maximum of 500 words in Portuguese and English; 4 keywords and a biographical note with 50 words. 

Articles are selected by the editorial board. They are then submitted to a double-blind peer-review process. The committee reserves the right not to publish articles that do not follow the review recommendations. By September 1, 2022 applicants will be informed whether their proposal has been accepted.

Chamada para submissão de trabalhos até ao dia 3 de julho de 2022

 

Encontra-se aberta até dia 3 de julho de 2022 a chamada para submissão de trabalhos para publicação na edição nº 6 da 2ª série da revista PSIAX: Estudos e Reflexões sobre o Desenho que terá como assunto questões que se articulem com “Escrever sobre, para e com Desenho”.

 

São vários os campos possíveis de atuação onde podemos encontrar a relação entre a escrita e o desenho: na tradução “visual”, como na écfrase clássica; na reflexão teórica e crítica sobre a prática das suas múltiplas conexões imagéticas; no uso do livre exercício de expressão e composição; na própria escrita quando esta se torna imagem e objeto visual. 

 

O número 6 da revista pretende mostrar desenhos, projetos artísticos, imagens, artigos, ensaios, textos contextualizadores ou críticos que deem conta e /ou problematizem a experiência de escrever sobre, para e com desenho.

 

Qualquer formato submetido (texto ou projecto) para avaliação deverá ser enviado para psiaxmag@gmail.com até ao dia 3 de julho de 2022, em qualquer uma das seguintes línguas: Português, Castelhano, Francês, Inglês, Italiano. 

 

Para contributos como artigos, ensaios, textos, estes devem possuir um número de caracteres, incluindo espaços, entre os 11000 e os 21000, e devem incluir um resumo com um máximo de 300 palavras em Português e Inglês; 4 palavras-chave e uma nota biográfica com 50 palavras. 

 

Os contributos em texto deverão ser enviados num único ficheiro word, com o texto em Times New Roman, corpo 12 e entrelinhamento 1,5, justificado. Notas de rodapé e referências deverão ser formatadas em corpo 10, entrelinhas simples, segundo o estilo APA 6. As referências bibliográficas devem estar integradas no texto. As citações até 3 linhas devem vir inseridas no texto entre aspas e seguidas pelas devidas referências. As citações com mais de 3 linhas, devem vir destacadas do corpo de texto com a fonte Times New Roman, corpo 10, espaço simples, justificado, recuo de 4 cm da margem esquerda. 

 

Cada contribuição em projecto artístico (desenhos, projectos artísticos, imagens) terá um limite de 10 imagens. As imagens, em formato .jpg ou .tiff, com um mínimo de 7,5 x 10 cm, 300 dpi, devem estar identificadas no corpo de texto e no ficheiro, acompanhadas de ficha técnica e referenciadas, e devem incluir um resumo com um máximo de 500 palavras em Português e Inglês; 4 palavras-chave e uma nota biográfica com 50 palavras. 

Os artigos são selecionados pela comissão editorial. Posteriormente são submetidos a um processo de revisão duplamente cega por pares. A comissão reserva-se no direito de não publicar artigos que não sigam as recomendações de revisão. Até 1 de setembro de 2022 os candidatos serão informados se a proposta foi aceite.
