Open call for Professor Positions in Artistic practice

The HKS Ottersberg, University of Applied Sciences and Arts, invites applications for three part time professorships (m/f/d)

Fine arts / foundation (50 %, code 20/1)

Fine arts. Painting / Participatory strategies (50 %, code 20/2)

New media/performative arts (50%, code 20/3)

We are looking for artists with proven competence in the fine arts and a keen interest in internal and external artistic and scientific cooperation in research and teaching. The tasks include the supervision of art classes with different focal points.

The personalities sought have sound knowledge and experience in the implementation of artistic development projects and have proven experience in the conception and implementation of artistic research projects.

The teaching commitment is 9 teaching hours per week. The language of instruction is German. Applicants are expected to be willing to participate in self-government tasks and in the further development of the study programmes. Remuneration is paid according to the University's internal tariff.

The HKS Ottersberg, founded in 1967 and officially recognised since 1984, offers Bachelor's and Master's programmes in artistic and artistically applied fields. Around 350 students and about 20 members of the teaching staff form the academic community. In the courses of study, artistic and scientific approaches to knowledge are closely interlinked and linked to the requirements of the fields of application and profession. We stand for future-oriented thinking, committed teaching, and multi-layered networking with our partners in culture and society and for intensive regional, national and international cooperation.
