Finding home: At the nexus of ecological grief, artistic research, and environmental justice

A one-day symposium located at the Luzern University of Applied Sciences, Lucerne, Switzerland. (Online presentation formats are also welcomed).

We are seeking innovative proposals for artistic research presentations that consider the topics of environmental justice, ecological grief, and the concept of home. A central focus of this one-day event will be questions and responses to how we continue to exist and belong in the world in the face of the deep existential threat of catastrophic climate change, and how we move forward with systemic change in mind, growing roots to place and centring the voices of those historically excluded from imagining the future. We are interested in proposals that engage the topics within an artistic research context through diverse forms including performance lectures, group discussions, small publications, and interventions in public space. Proposals that also engage with the location of the event (the MA research project and urban garden space Orto-745 on the HSLU Design & Kunst campus) will be given priority.
