3. CALL FOR EXECUTIVE BOARD NOMINATIONS 2015 – 2017
YOUR SAR NEEDS YOU!
As SAR enters the next phase of its development, it is time to elect the next Executive Board. The Executive Board supports and strengthens SAR’s existing activities and develops new initiatives and visions for developing artistic research internationally. The Executive Board requires individuals with a strong commitment to the field of artistic research and the energy and enthusiasm to help SAR broaden its membership and extend the range of services and meetings for its existing members.
Election for the SAR Executive Board for the next two years will take place at the coming General Assembly at Chelsea College of Arts in London on 2 May 2015. The Board consists of the following roles: president, two vice presidents and four additional board members. Re-election is limited to three terms (six years in total). We therefore ask you to consider standing for election by the SAR membership at the General Assembly.
Typically there are six Executive Board Meetings per year plus the annual General Assembly. Due to restricted funds within the organisation, all Executive Board Members must find ways to cover their own costs for participating in these meetings.
Nominations to the next SAR Executive Board are due by 28 February 2015.
All nominees should note that to be included in the election, the candidate has to be present in person at the General Assembly in London on 2 May 2015. The first meeting of the new Executive Board will take place the same day 15.00-17.00. Presence will be mandatory for those elected.
When presenting your nomination, please include name, contact details (email and phone), institutional affiliation (if applicable), a brief CV (not more than one page), and a short motivation statement (5-7 lines), including a specification of which of the roles you wish to be elected for (cf. Articles of Association Art. 21). Those wishing to be considered for more than one role should specify which ones.
Nominations should be sent by email to the President Gerhard Eckel at:
email@example.com. Please mark your email with the subject heading "SAR EB Nomination". Your nomination will be acknowledged upon receipt.
