Call for Applications for Post-mag/Post-doc Positions for Artists and Researchers

The Faculty of Fine Arts, Brno University of Technology is pleased to announce the call for applications for Post-mag/Post-doc positions, specifically tailored for artists, and for a Post-doc position, for researchers. This initiative aims to facilitate the integration of recent graduates into professional life while fostering the advancement of research and creative endeavours within the faculty.

The selection procedure for artists is open for a maximum of three part-time positions for either one or two semesters of the academic year (September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025, or September 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025).

The call for researchers is inviting applications for one part-time position, available for one or two semesters of the academic year (September 1, 2024, to August 31, 2025, or September 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025).

Applicants must be graduates (at the time of employment) from master's or doctoral studies, with up to three years since completion. This timeframe excludes periods of maternity and parental leave, illness exceeding 90 days, or caregiving responsibilities for dependents as defined by the Social Services Act. It also excludes time spent on long-term study abroad, with a maximum gap of five years between graduation and application submission in such cases.

Successful candidates will participate in creative and/or research activities at the faculty, collaborating closely with their chosen studio or department to develop and implement their project (please refer to the Organizational Structure and Organigram). They will also contribute to the dissemination of project outcomes through teaching activities.

Application Requirements:

A concise and comprehensive description of the artistic or research project (up to 3 pages), including project title and description, contribution to the chosen workspace, project timeline, and expected project outcomes.

Recommendation from at least one faculty member from the chosen workspace.

Curriculum vitae, including a list of previous artistic or publication outputs and contact information (address, telephone, email).

Copies of documents confirming academic and scientific degrees.
