/// Multipli-Cities: Exploring artistic research across places and practices
Catalyst’s MA Symposium invites artists, researchers and scholars to engage in a dynamic exploration of multiplicity in artistic research. Rooted in diverse methodologies, disciplines and creative approaches, this gathering celebrates the many ways in which artistic practice responds to place, collaboration and experimentation.

Expanding the notion of "city" beyond the urban environment, we consider a broad spectrum of creative spaces—from anthills to forests to digital realms, from communal hubs to personal landscapes. How does location shape artistic inquiry? In what ways do collective and collaborative processes inform creative practice?

By presenting your work-in-progress in a public forum where it can be discussed and given feedback, we aim to push your projects further and hone your creative research processes and skills.

/// Artistic research at Catalyst
At Catalyst, our master’s programmes in music and film are explicitly structured around a practice-based artistic research framework. But what does that really mean, and why is it important? How can research make our artistic work more developed, more powerful, more relevant and more alive?
