University of the Arts Helsinki arranges a two-day conference and an online post-conference in 2026:

Artist Pedagogy and Artistic Thinking: Perspectives and Practices

Conference reception: 27 August 2026
Conference dates: 28-29 August 2026
Online post-conference: 4 September 2026

Venue: Sörnäinen Campus

Call for papers will be open from 15 September 2025 to 15 November 2025. The conference welcomes contributions from researchers in the fields of the arts, art education, and education more widely as well as professional artists and artist pedagogues across the fields of the arts. 

The conference is arranged by the University of the Arts Helsinki Research Institute, and it is funded by the Research Council of Finland’s research profiling funding.
