KEYNOTE SPEAKER

How can we reimagine knowledge in a time of ecological and epistemic crisis?

Minna Salami (FI/NG/SE) presents the keynote, where she will introduce The Kaleidoscopic Method: a way of thinking that embraces multiplicity and interconnectedness. Here, knowledge is not treated as a fixed destination, but as a patterned unfolding like the turn of a kaleidoscope.

Her session invites participants to attune to the elemental intelligences of soil and water, weaving intellectual reflection with participatory and sensory inquiry.

Minna Salami is an author, social critic, and senior fellow and research chair at The New Institute. Minna’s publications ‘Sensuous Knowledge’, ‘Can Feminism Be African?’, and award-winning MsAfropolitan blog champion emancipatory and rooted approaches to knowledge that expand and challenge dominant and conventional prisms.

INVITED SPEAKERS

Venus Jasper (NL) Queer visual artist, storyteller, world builder, researcher and singer-priestess. With works such as EARTHSHRINE – Sensing Sacred Soils and OAKBaLLZ and EELSkin, Venus Jasper explores their own relation to sacred swamps, ancestry and trauma, based on queer ecology and land-based ways of knowing.
