Alexander Holm have been developing the artistic research project 'Sworld' on the APD program at RMC in Copenhagen 2021-2024. The project seeks to explore how simultaneous experience of sounds with- and without a visible cause can evoke human experiences of ghosts, absence and lost memories. The project researches and expands on composer and theorist Michel Chion's audio visual concept of Synch Points, examined through a versatile compositional praxis including choreography, text, voice, walks and live performance.
Empty Space

This artistic post-master research explores interpretational possibilities of empty space. Combining literary and graphic creative work with documentary, personal and research background, the e-book asks a question how can we find connections between individual occurrences of empty space. Through bilingual essays, visual essays, and practical exercises, this work proposes the following perspectives: empty space as a mode of attention; nuanced individual interpretations of empty space as missing, coming together, not being, disappearing; empty space as a field designed to be filled; and the non-definition of empty space as accepting the unknowability of its possibilities.
Nothingness in the digital Space

Valerie Messini (Peter Weibel Research Institute for Digital Culture) chooses the phenomenon of emptiness in art as a point of departure for her contribution "Nothingness in the digital Space" and presents her artistic projects operating with different technologies to approach the phenomenon of emptiness in connection with corporeality in digital space. "1-NO1-100.000" uses dance movement to explore emptiness in virtual space, and "Deep Empty - Wide Open" uses deep learning to question the extent to which horizon lines function as mental voids.
