Distance matters: An archeology through drawing of the Plaszow concentration camp in Krakow.

(Why do I keep going back to sites of Holocaust memory and how can I use drawing as a tool to excavate a past personally unlived?)

My research examines how meanings present in a given environment (place) can be uncovered through visual and literary responses made on site in Poland and through work developed later. These drawings build a resource where new meanings are excavated, revealed and interpolated in representations of the place and of myself.
