Questions I am asking myself:

What different types of coherance can you identify, while watching her?

How and when does the 'stickiness' and 'slippiness' between language-meaning and the body occur? What is the range you are working with, and does this change every time you work?

In what ways does the dancing body get snagged on the voice, and vice versa? What methods (amplification, speed, attachments, vocal tones) could you develop to see how far you can take this?

You are improvising, and the score is getting narrower. What ways do you want to get more precise? What do you want to keep loose?

Are there any additional magic objects you want to bring into the space?

How big is the space you imagine performing in? What's it like?

Can you speculate on subtle, sensory kinospheres you are working with?

Leah's Feedback Session

Tuesday February 2nd

11am-12pm

Dear NPP and collegues,

I'm working on something. It might be a longer performance, or a 'piece' of some kind.

I've made a 32 minute video which pieces together some rehearsal footage I'm interested in.

The video is not the work - it is edited documentation of the making of a work - the order of events is simply what has been edited for feedback purposes. It is not fixed. I'm interested performing.

The footage is from Studio 12 at B58 (January 25, 2021) and a 24 hour residency at MDT (December 20th, 2020).

Please start by watching the video. After that, in the remaining 28 minutes of the alloted hour,  I invite each of you to give me feedback in the form of a letter: either written/typed or as an audio file (voice recording).

Your role is: a fellow performer/maker

I imagine each individual feedback letter to be the start of a longer correspondence over the semester regarding my work (and hopefully, yours too!),  each which has its own feel and timing. I can reply to your letter, and so on.

You can post it to the right of the blue line, on the right here.

Please attach your name to your feedback. If you have any trouble posting it, just email it to me instead: leah.landau.01@student.uniarts.se

To the left of the video, I've listed some questions I'm working with, which your feedback letter can consider.. I'm trying to find a method that is a way for you and I, as a duo, to meet in our thinking, specific to what I'm investigating, with enough room for bounce (which I believe is more likely to happen through the longevity of a 'correspondance' situation).

It is ongoing. A.k.a. :

we don't have to try for a hole-in-one.

any questions, just email or call me 0704598444 thank you thank you thank you for your time \
