This Research started with a talk about the Sarree. A piece of textile that is wrapped in different ways around the body to create a garment.
The idea of a garment not made out of a pattern piece is very interesting as we most commonly only see garments made with pattern pieces.
Therefore I decided to Research each system that is out there to create shape on a body.
As a maker I realise that most people around me think that there is only one way to make a garment, that is why I want to give a new perspective to it.
Hereby I've researched all the different ways to create a garment, all the systems that are out there, the link to the book, website or youtube tutorial.
