Introduction and thanks

BLY is a chamber play of live electronics and performance. Through variations on things, sounds, movement and light, a surreal dreamy world is performed into existence. The stage is set with a backwall of drawing-paper, an overhead, a sound-mixer, a light-dimmer, a microphone, and a recording device, in addition to simple purpose-built means. With these elements, the three performers produce their material, perform and control everything on stage, it is live-art.

The performers involved are Ali Djabbary, Cecilie Lindemann Steen and Ellen Ugelvik. Ali is an actor and performance artist. Cecilie is a dancer and choreographer, and Ellen is a pianist and a composer. BLY is developed by composer Christian Blom in collaboration with Ellen. Bly is tailored to fit the skills of the performers involved.
