Fieldnote: I was really struck by how the teachers reacted to Keziah. They were so happy to see her, there so many calls of "Eh, Keziah!" Very warm chats. A few teachers got out their phones, either to swap numbers or show me they had Keziah on WhatsApp, or tell me they had photos of Keziah and her old grades on a pen drive. When I asked teachers what Keziah was like as a student, they gave very positive feedback: they all said she was a good student, and very sociable, that everyone knew her in the school. When we left, in a taxi on the way to the mall, Keziah told her sister, "See, I told you I was loved in the school." She had a very satisfied look on her face. The visit seemed like a real boost.
