This digital space has been created to encounter the installation: "My body is here and it disappears like a dance through time". This installation holds space to navigate through questions of ephemerality and documentation within performance and artistic practice. It is an ongoing dialogue with space, with others and materials having its attention resting on weight, texture, proximity, and volume. At the center of the installation, one can find "Words that sense their weight, Bodies that write in space" - a choreographic gesture in the format of a publication attempting to anchor and destabilize aspects of my artistic practice and experiment with multiple relations with time. Maria's artistic practice is centered on the notion of plasticity activated through the performative and the choreographic inviting movement through and around them. This work draws influences and support from neuroscience, gender and queer studies, and new-materialism theory. This installation was part of the final presentation of the New Performative Practices program at Stockholm University of the Arts and took place between April 30th and May 3rd 2023.
