Concert may 28^th

Why is this important? Important step in the actualisation of this project, and a milestone in my development.

Why is this urgent? Because of deadline, and wanting people to feel they didn’t waste their time coming to Holmen and spending an hour experiencing our performance. 

Well, the above, about not wanting to be a waste of time, is true of course, and I will keep the description of the concert here in Q1, in the light of the exam situation. 

But I want to get myself and if it goes really well, the audience too, into Q2 for the actual concert. 

It’s really not that urgent, just a step on the way (towards death and oblivion) and there will be many more concerts after this one.

Urgency? I have rarely seen it contribute to the magic of a concert.

“hvad så mister play it safe?” /// The Eisenhower on Drums Concert

Hello! My name is Mathias Holm Jørgensen. On may 28^th, I am finishing my ’soloist’ study, where I will be playing a special show with some of my friends at 19.30 in Akvariet at RMC. The concert will be in the spirit of my project Eisenhower on Drums, where I’ve been working with a thing my friend Anders Filipsen once said to me. It was at Christianshavns Beboerhus, where I had played a duo concert with Emil Jensen. After we came down, Anders said, “hvad så mister play it safe?!” 

It hurt. But it is not going to hurt anymore after The Eisenhower on Drums Concert!

I can’t guarantee that it will be good, in fact it might be really bad, but I look forward to it, and I hope you will be there, and I would love to drink a beer or a cup of tea with you afterwards.
