The artistic research project's next phase will be based on critical reflection and discourse together with the partner institutions.
As the details for the new year are starting to come into place, the artistic research project Topographies of the Obsolete is now entering its reflective phase. In addition to the continued development of their individual projects, seminars and writings will be the main activity for the project's participants during the year 2014. This will be the means of disseminating further the result of the site-specific work done during the time spent at the original Spode factory site in 2012-2013 to the international art community and public al large.
The first upcoming seminar, "Touching the Tactile", will be held by our partner institution, The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, at Medical Museion on the 10-11th of April 2014. More information about this will be posted soon. The final seminar and exhibition by Topographies of the Obsolete at Bergen Academy of Art and Design will be held in January/February 2015. Additionally, in 2015 there are plans being made for seminars to be held by two of our other partner institutions; Nottingham Trent University in March 2015, and Sheffield Hallam University in October 2015.
