Clothing Scraps

Object name: clothing inscriptions.

Date of creation: 1963-1964.

Location: Krūminiai village, Varėna district, Vilnius county.

Origin: Soviet Union.

Owner of the objects: Rūta Augustinavičienė (b.1959).

Objects found by: Justina Krupavičiūtė (b. 1991).

Basend on 1963-1964 patterns and scraps Rūta's mother knitted, sewn and embroidered. She worked as a ticket seller in a movie theater. Lived in Kaunas. She did most of her all small handicrafts in her workplace. She had time and space there.

Going from Generation to Generation

Object name: a dress.

Creation time: 1958-1960.

Location: a box in the homestead palette, Pavašuokiai village, currently a single farmstead, Panevėžys district.

Material: georgette.

Colors: black, dark green, dark purple, light purple, yellow, purple.

Dimensions: shoulder width - 37 cm, chest circumference - 96 cm, collar depth - 12 cm, sleeve length - 19 cm, waist circumference - 84 cm, overall dress length - 88 cm.

Owner: Bronė Zimneckaitė (1933-2012) - Butė.

Location: two-room apartment in Naugarduko str.,Vilnius.

Material: metal, plastic, wires.

Dimensions: written nearby the appearance.

Origin: The Soviet Union.

Owner: Albina Kuksėnaite-Čibirienė (1928-2020).

Object was found by: Justė Dobiliauskaitė (b. 1993).

Object name: a blouse.

Date of creation: XX c. early seventies.

Location: a two-room apartment in Kėdainiai city.

Material: polyester.

Dimensions: shoulder width - 36 cm, chest circumference - 104 cm, sleeve length - 43 cm, neck circumference - 36 cm, total length - 64 cm.

Origin: the owner considers that it could have been made in Czechoslovakia or German Democratic Republic because of an extremely beautiful tailoring of the object.

Object was found by: Alma Balandytė-Arelienė (b. 1966).

Location where the object was found: a sectional shelf, a northern room of one's owned house on the edge of Panevėžys.

Material: cotton with polyester.

Dress dimensions: shoulder width - 35.5 cm, chest circumference - 92 cm, waist circumference - 84 cm, total length of the dress - 88 cm.

Jacket dimensions: shoulder width - 38 cm, chest circumference - 92 cm, torso circumference - 81 cm, the total length of the jacket is 51 cm.

Origin: Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic.

Owner: Joana Rudytė-Žostautienė (1932-2020).

Object was found by: Jūratė Žostautaitė-Baltrėnienė (b. 1963).

Sportswear Exchanged in a White Dress Decorated with Greetings

Location: a lower shelf section where old family photos were placed, a room in an owned house, on the edge of Panevėžys.

Dimensions: 8.3 x 11.5 cm.

Origin: Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic.

Owner: Joana Rudytė-Žostautienė (1932-2020).

Object found by: Jūratė Žostautaitė-Baltrėniene (b. 1963). Jūratė found the photo in the room of her mother Joana Žostautienė, who died in May, 2020.
