To reflect on the experiences we made inside the different participatory situations we developed a writing/drawing tool to support collective reflection.

The tool is based on the playful technique of cadavre exquis, where collaborators add to a composition in sequence (traditionally a folded paper), by being allowed to see only the end of what the previous person contributed.

In our case we used a three folded paper where we for each part of the paper reflected on the participatory experience we had just had from the perspective of:

1. space (middle part of paper)

2. time (upper part of paper)

3. role (lower part of paper)

How one used the surface of the paper was up to each contributor. For each step / new "surface", the folded paper was passed on with a trace left for the next person to engage with on the new surface.

When the papers were full, they were hung on the wall and time was given to observe what different experiences people had contributed and possible informal discussion.

Comment on the tool:

The possibility to together engage in a reflection process but not in order to agree, but rather grasp details of indivdiual trajectories inside the common experience, proved a really good way to prepare us participants to also share thoughts in the follwing discussion.
