Dear reader,

It is said that enviroment affects humans giving them rules. But as it happens in architecture, the structure is not an aditional element. By the contrary, structure is in the core of the experience. Sometimes it is perceived even later. Others have been experienced in a more rigid mode. However, this work is situated in the amalgamate.

Each of the paintings have been a negociation with the space. The limits of the frame and in some cases its extend to a wall.

When we are planning an exhibition, not only the physical space matters. Not only the shape of the meters distributed in such a way is going to communicate. I would be tempted to say that there are other things happening in the institution that would shape our work, like the norms of the institution of the rules market, but instead I would say that those rules are already contained in the walls.

Real, imaginary and symbolic -the three ways that the psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan presented together to analyze human reality-have been an useful tool to inhabit institutions.
Real could be refer to the physical stuff but going deep onto his theory it can be said that it is the property of what always is coming back to the same place or that kind of stuff that cannot be enterally symbolized: the resistance.

Imaginary is built on the line of the ego and the image that others reflect on him/her. Our egos are formed in based of identifications, reflections and comparison with others. Spaces are nothing without imaginaries since we need the erotization that images, stories and relationships to inhabit them. On the other hand, this is the level where aggressiveness also take part.

Lastly, symbolic is the cultural environment where the institutions, practices and groups are involved. Norms, ways of being, traditions. Symbolic order of the language itself and the specifications of each field knowledge.
