What makes the space captivating? Are we really in control while we are in a certain space or a space is in control? What makes us surrender in a certain space? When do we start thinking from the externalities of the world rather than our own internal perspectives about the world? With my work, I am creating spatial experiences within the realm of juxtaposition which eventually leads to the not knowing. Because it summons us into a larger universe than we can comprehend rationally, and ask us to look at what we do not know, rather than what we do know. If we can do so, we can become more flexible, more open, more willing to live with uncertainty, by willing to question our ordinary assumptions about how the world and we ourselves are.
