Profile

My name is Luca Di Clemente, and I am deeply committed to advancing sustainability in all its dimensions, encompassing environmental, social, and economic aspects. Currently, I am a PhD student in the LEES (Law, Ethics, and Economics for Sustainable Development) program at the University of Milan, where my research focuses on rural development and sustainability. My academic and professional journey has equipped me with a multidimensional perspective on sustainable practices, especially within event organization, project design, and community-building.

Throughout my career, I have collaborated with organizations that prioritize sustainable approaches, contributing to initiatives that aim to reshape food systems, reduce waste, and foster local economies. My work with groups like Slow Food and RECUP Roma has involved efforts to recover and repurpose surplus food, as well as supporting community-based purchasing initiatives. This practical engagement complements my research interests and reinforces my belief in the importance of resilient and ethical supply chains.

My previous roles have developed my team collaboration and coordination skills, as I have successfully led projects, motivated team members, and navigated interdisciplinary teams in both professional and research contexts. With experience across varied sectors, I bring a flexible yet purpose-driven approach to my work, valuing the power of diverse perspectives in achieving ambitious goals.

In my studies and professional experiences, I am particularly drawn to the cultural dimensions of sustainability, recognizing how culture shapes identity and policies, especially in rural and remote settings. I am driven by the belief that nurturing our unique cultural and historical assets is fundamental to building resilient and sustainable communities.
