     short gothic nordic noir

June, 40 escapes to a desolate cabin in the aftermath of a traumatic event. The uncanny nature is calling for  revenge and to survive she has to decide whether to destruct or deconstruct.

script for 10 min Short Film

abstract for my thesis

The listening actor. The thinking actor. The interplace. This work falls into the area of artistic research, namely the discourse of actors´s text work, exploring cinematic aesthetics concerning gaps and inbetween spaces in character work. Based on the beliefs of connecting through character, and the chiasm created as an interplace for audience and art to meet, artistic choices in acting and directing are explored. Inviting the gaps is an `essayer´ to make (a space and a) place for poetic art to arrive where a thought script will be explored.

investigating the gaps in poetic film practice-

with exploring the negative aesthetics my intention is inviting the gaps with the help of imposing movement psychology in directing the actors as well as a thought script as methods for investigating the space, of- the interplace (chiasm? Meurly - Ponty ) - within character and the non-linear narrative. Focus on the thinking actor based on the theory that we connect through character.

Gaps in cinematic dialogue? Do we create them? Can we? How?  Or will the gaps appear inbetween the "gaps" we create, as an essence of all the non-planned, non-said, non-by human touched?
