Keynote – Liza Lim

Who are we and who is here? (Multispecies knots of ethical time)

A discussion of two very recent works ‘The Tailor of Time’ (2023) and ‘Multispecies Knots of Ethical Time’ (2023), both underpinned by aspects of ecological thinking and questions of collaboration with the ‘more than human’. In what senses might we understand notions of sentiency as applied not only to animals, plants and eco-systems but to other ‘non-humans’ such as notation, technologies and music itself?
