1. Navigate to https://jar-online.net/en/user and log on.
5a. Channel tab: title, language, image, editorial text (to appear at the top of the channel page)
5b. Referred content: the content of the channel below the top header section (see further down for details)
5c. Metadata: use this for keywords only
5d. Files and additional info: materials listed on the left hand side of the channel
5e. Revision: use this to create editions or issues of your channel or to keep snapshpts of past version (listed on the left hand side of the channel)
If you cannot save the channel make sure to check all pages marked with asterisk they may be missing content.
Click 'add channel reference' to a reference (internally called 'node') to a channel group.
This is done by typing the title of an existing page on jar-online into the field node and selecting it. (Since there is no real search or browse function here, it is strongly recommended to make a list of nodes to be added before engaging with this step, or have jar-online open in a different browser to navigate to a desired page and copying its title across.)
If a node is available in a desired language (to be set in 'force language') the channel will load the node in that language.
Like with groups, each node can also have a (short) comment, displayed below the node.
Channel editors can also add content

7d. Channel: this is to create new channels. Please don't use this at this stage and only use the channel that has been created for you.
7e. Channel article: this is a page only accessible from within channels i.e. it is not shown in the JAR Network section. This is the option to choose to add content pages to your channel.
7f. Exposition: needed for JAR issues. DO not use!
