5e. Revision: use this to create editions or issues of your channel or to keep snapshpts of past version (listed on the left hand side of the channel)

If you cannot save the channel make sure to check all pages marked with asterisk they may be missing content.

6. Edit content

Below the header section, there is the channel content, which is always organised in groups:

group 1

content 1

content 2

..

group 2

content 1

content 2

...

You have to create or edit a channel group to add or edit content.

An empty channel group cannot be saved.

The channel group needs a title, but it is optional to supply a comment. A comment is displayed below the group title and can be used to explain or introduce the group.

Click 'add channel reference' to a reference (internally called 'node') to a channel group.

This is done by typing the title of an existing page on jar-online into the field node and selecting it. (Since there is no real search or browse function here, it is strongly recommended to make a list of nodes to be added before engaging with this step, or have jar-online open in a different browser to navigate to a desired page and copying its title across.)

If a node is available in a desired language (to be set in 'force language') the channel will load the node in that language.

Like with groups, each node can also have a (short) comment, displayed below the node.

7. Types of content

7a. JAR expositions: already published expositions in JAR can be used as node in all channels

7b. JAR Network texts (reflections and book reviewes) can be used as node in all channels

These two types re-use already existing materials from the JAR website.

Channel editors can also add content

7c. Article: the is a page shown in the JAR Network section. Please only use after agreement with JAR (or submit your content to JAR and they will create the page for you.)

7d. Channel: this is to create new channels. Please don't use this at this stage and only use the channel that has been created for you.

7e. Channel article: this is a page only accessible from within channels i.e. it is not shown in the JAR Network section. This is the option to choose to add content pages to your channel.

7f. Exposition: needed for JAR issues. DO not use!

7g. External content: these are references that open other web pages.
