The purpose of our research is mainly to be able to create a firefly motion control simulation using code (Arduino, Edit)
and projecting it through a projector. Through this we will be able to familiarize ourselves with it
software and resulting hardware.
Finally, our goal is to create something that is connected to our history and is successful.
Outcome(s):
Essentially, our project is to build a possibly wooden box, in which a projector will be placed, from which a group of fireflies will be projected, moving them the way we move our hands through a sensor. The fireflies are going to be designed by the Processing software, while the way to control them will be created through the Arduino software.
How do you plan to solve disputes/conflicts/failures in the group?
The problems we may face are mainly related to the code. It's possible that the code can't respond with the Arduino and the sensor, or the code for the fireflies won't load. Other problems we may have to deal with are with electronics such as the projector if something breaks down.
So,with patience and a lot of communication/ finding middle ground.
Plan B is to find a different way to move the fireflies, since we couldn't control it according to the original plan. Then we thought that fireflies in their natural environment are autonomous anyway so there is no reason to try to control them here. So we thought their movement can depend through the air and the electricity that our body produces through touch.
