FIMBUL is a collection of improvised guitar music, performed on two old Landola guitars; a twelve string, and a classical nylon string. The music aspires to be pure expression, as I am an autodidact guitarist with no formal training, in contrast to my work as a classically trained pianist. My guitar influences include long form improvisations by performer/composers such as John Fahey, Wendy Eisenberg, Bill Orcutt, Joseph Allred, Derek Bailey, and Marc Ribot, among others.
