Mechanical Asynchronicity II (Score: Mechanical Asynchronicity 'Side B') – performance scores

This page contains open-access digital versions of the performance scores for Mechanical Asynchronicity II by Martin Scheuregger. This work forms part of the the Score: Mechanical Asynchronicity project by Martin Scheuregger and Danica Maier.

The original printed scores are presented as a nearly 4.5-metre continuous strip, folded into five double-page spreads plus a title page. Below they are available as PDFs and as a video score. Images of the physical score and projections of the score in performance are provided.

PDF scores

Three scores are available to download below, reflecting the instrumentation of the original project: flute and violin (treble clef), cello (bass and tenor clefs), and clarinet (Bb, treble clef). Click on the relevant score below to view or download.

Video score

The video score below is designed to be used in live performance. It can either be used as the source of music for performers, or as a visual element of the performance. Its colours are inverted so it can be used in a dark environment.

Images of physical score

The photographs below show the physical score displayed as part of an exhibition, as used in performance, and the application of the video score as part of the imagery in a live presentation of Score: Mechanical Asynchronicity.
