My observation about the 80's and it's fashion sense is ALL the color. With the platform boots, to midiskirts to high waisted clothing items, to a lot of diversity in style.
The hair is super poofie and most people took a perm in this decade.
Underwear got to the point where the skin was way more revealed and made with lace.
In terms of sportswear: we get a colorful gabberwear, legwarmers, and really thight tights.
