(Re)wilding outputs

This collection of (re)wilding outputs have been selected to highlight the researcher’s iterative process as overlapping flows of five seasons of practice: excursion, encounter, engagement, assembly, and decay. They are not meant to be viewed as original artworks or forms of knowledge and insight on their own. Rather, the creative outputs of the project support and provide context for the theoretical material. The outputs section here is meant to provide a sense of the practitioner-researcher’s personal development over the course of the project, as reflected in the creative choices made from year to year. Taken relative to a timeline and to the engagement of a forest-based grieving arts practice, these short vignettes demonstrate a gradual shift in the priorities of the researcher from anthropocentric and eco-adjacent, to a more eco-centric frame. This supports the theoretical claims that (re)wilding practice can significantly change one’s perspective, perceptions, and attitudes and relationships toward non-human and interspecies worlds.
