The project begins with simply "Button Exchange" in the beginning, yet I felt like the depth of the project and the message I want to convey doesn't come of with the name, therefore I start looking for simple words that fit, and I looked back on my own language.
In the Traditional Chinese Characters (Used in Taiwan),
Words are made by words, and characters are made by characters. The meaning of a term can be incredibly layered and deeply woven. The language itself paints a picture with the meaning, and I have found beautiful similarity of the dicected words and the core of my project.
By adapting to this new name, it somehow felt authentic.
A simple term, a small entity, so common in our daily life, yet while through deeper inspection reveals much more about the individual person--the collective people, the world we live in, giving another way to look at things, including ourselves.
