SOUNDING OUT IDENTITIES

OF ARTIFICIAL VOICE

Murmur and VoXations—Solids of Mutation, 2025
live-performance

Murmur and VoXations is a live-performance that intertwines an analogue DJ set, a vocoder for live voice processing, a Korg Stage Echo, a Roland Space Echo, and a headset. These devices form an interconnected signal mesh through which the performer navigates, influencing and participating in the acoustic flow by directly operating the sound-transforming entities. In doing so, she uses vinyl recordings containing text fragments spoken by her voice clone, alongside live voice and dialogic interactions with various AI voices, to create real-time narratives in situ.

Voice and text are altered to such an extent that they transform into spatio-sonic objects, blurring the lines between noise, utterance, and common models of human communication.
