I WOULD LIKE TO COLLECT FOUND/DISCARDED OBJECTS. STARTING WITH THE TWO CHANDELIERS I FOUND ON MY WAY TO THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS THIS SEMESTER. THEY INSPIRED ME TO ALSO THINK ABOUT THE FORMS IN WHICH FOUND OBJECTS CAN BE MADE UP OF. I AM INTERESTED IN OBJECTS WHICH ARE MADE UP OF PARTS, TO REALLY TAKE THE TIME TO REMOVE EACH PIECE, TO GET TO KNOW IT. PUTTING IT BACK TOGETHER AGAIN, MAYBE WITH NO CLEAR STEPS ON THE REFORMATION. I AM INTRIGUED BY HOW THE POSITIONING OF OBJECTS AND THE RELATIONALITY OF NARRATIVE CAN ALTER OUR PERCEPTION ON THE APPRECIATION VALUE OF THINGS. I WANT TO USE FOUND-OBJECTS AND TREAT THEM AS ARCHIVAL ARTEFACTS. EXAMINE AND ANALYZE THEIR CHARACTERISTIC, MATERIALIZATION AND POSSIBLE ORIGIN. IN A VERY DOCUMENTED FORMAT.

I WOULD LIKE TO EXPLORE MORE METHODS OF EXCAVATING INSPIRATION FROM FOUND THINGS IN MY COLLECTION BY TRYING OUT OTHER MEDIUMS AND MATERIALITY. TO HOPEFULLY DISCOVER WHY THIS TOPIC ON SOURCES AND ORIGINS INTRIGUES ME AND HOW THIS EXPLORATION COULD BECOME PART OF MY SCENOGRAPHIC WORK.

FIRSTLY, BY ANALYZING THE OBJECTS AS FACTUALITIES. DECODING WHAT THEY ARE ALREADY PRESENTING. THEIR SHAPE, COLOUR, SIZE, MATERIAL, TEXTURE…REALLY ANALYZE AND NOTE DOWN WHAT I SEE AND FEEL IN AN OBJECTIVE WAY TO THEN LATER BE ABLE TO DEVELOP A SUBJECTIVE PERSPECTIVE. TREATING THEM AS ARCHIVAL PIECES, WORTHY OF BEING HANDLED WITH CARE AND ATTENTION. I WANT TO DOCUMENT EACH OBJECT AND ALL ITS CORNERS, ITS BITS AND PIECES AS ENTITIES, PHOTOGRAPHING ALONGSIDE NOTES ON EACH DETAIL OF WHAT CAN BE SENSED. POSSIBLY VIDEO /AUDIO RECORDING TOO WHICH CAN ADD CONTEXT TO THE COLLECTED SUBJECTS.
