Thermal Protocol: Rediscovered Instructions for Public Intimacy

Ininterplay between private and public spheres, "Thermal Protocol" emerges as an exploration of human interaction within thermal bath settings. During a research expedition to the Methana peninsula, a remarkable collection of early 20th-century social instructions was discovered, bearing official Greek governmental stamps. These documents, originally created to revitalize public thermal bath attendance, provided visitors with structured guidance for navigating these unique social spaces.

The project transforms these century-old guidelines into three contemporary flow chart posters, creating visual algorithms that map the delicate choreography of social interaction. This artistic translation serves multiple purposes: honoring the systematic nature of the original instructions while making them accessible to modern sensibilities. The flow charts function as "social choreographers," guiding movements through this complex dance of human interaction while legitimizing both engagement and silence as conscious choices.
