The voiceovers in the film

When adding the voiceover to the film we had to make some changes in the length and order of the texts to have it fit with what I wanted to say with the visuals. My editor, Tove Lindblom, and I worked on finding the right balance of how much was needed to say, and when to have the text work with the image and when to work against it. The decision to use the same visuals twice with the different voiceovers coloring the audience’s interpretation of the story was made from a place of curiosity. The film itself becomes the research, deconstructing the two perspectives and studying them separately, but in relation to each other.

 


In the clip below, the two perspectives are shown right after each other, showing the opposition in their subjective truths.
