Practice of Notation-Reflection (Immediate)

Short description of the atmosphere: Not so clearly discernible at the outset, rather emergent. A cool, seclusion, an awayness, a sense of enclosure/enveloped/slow time.

Agency: beginning with the conditioning influence of light to then include the conditioning influence of the trees on the above atmosphere.

PRACTICES/TACTICS

Practice of Notation-Reflection (Immediate)

A dual practice: (1) Marked video: covering camera with paper when the conditioning influence on the atmosphere is registered (paper remains for duration of (2) and is then removed; (2) Voicing Observation: for attending to how the conditioning influence on the atmosphere is registered. Both practices, or this dual practice, are recorded simultaneously through the same recording device (lap-top).

Kairotic notation: The paper itself (the masking medium) in this situation also registers the light. It is kairotic in the sense that this potential emerged in relation to the specificity of the occasion, as unexpected 'opportunity'.

Practice of Reflection (Mediated)

(1) Live Writing in touch with the artefacts generated from the Practice of Notation-Reflection (Immediate) - a hybrid practice involving shifting between transcribed fragements of the Voicing Observation (Notation: Immediate) intercut with reflection.
