ENQUIRY BLOCK 3: Agency: Light/Wind

Date + time: 21 September, 20.30 - 21.30

Short description of the atmosphere: A sense of night being kept at bay by the presence of artificial light, a no-night-ness, attention pulled beyond the enclosure of the wall into other lives

PRACTICES/TACTICS

Practice of Notation-Reflection (Immediate)

(A): A dual practice (1) Marked video: covering camera with paper when the conditioning influence on the atmosphere is registered (paper remains for duration of (2) and is then removed; (2) Voicing Observation: for attending to how the conditioning influence on the atmosphere is registered. Both practices, or this dual practice, are recorded simultaneously through the same recording device (laptop).

(B): A dual practice (2): Kairotic notation: The paper itself (the masking medium) in this situation also registers the wind. It is kairotic in the sense that this potential emerged in relation to the specificity of the occasion, as unexpected 'opportunity'. (2) Voicing Observation: for attending to how the conditioning influence on the atmosphere is registered. Both practices, or this dual practice, are recorded simultaneously through the same recording device (laptop).
