Study #7: GIFs to watch music to is a continuation of Studies #1-6. The three GIFs are based on material taken from improvised musical performances and are edited to bring out the personality and mannerisms of the performers. The aim of this piece was to invert the convention of listening to music without watching it by watching music without listening to it.
This is the first work where I brought multiple GIFs together under a single title. This choice was motivated by the similar subject matter and humorous tone of the GIFs. The title is a play on an existing title format I use within my practice a.la. Music to watch grey skies to.
