Intertwining resistance and anticipation

relude: The ex-GKN workers’ struggle continues – the workers have been fired, they are without a job and securities now, the researcher-activists are neck-deep in completing due diligence on the business plan at the behest/on the demand of the investors. In recent news, the Factory Collective are fighting being forcefully removed from the factory premises violently disrupting the plan to ecologically reconvert and set up GKN for Future on the same premises. This is no time for evaluations and conclusions, but there is an urgent, almost impatient need to learn about how things have happened so far, even as they emerge and unfold. To lean into the imagination of labour, of a socially integrated factory, of ways of organising movements that the GKN struggle is proposing in practice, in poetry and in law.
