ВП: У Розалинды Краусс, замечательного американского критика, есть тема решетки. Она говорит, что эта тема в западно-европейской культуре это предел состояний. This is a fragment from an interview i was writing up between a curator and a friend of mine, Vitaly Patsukov, and an artist, Andrei Krasulin. Both were very big figures in the underground soviet scene. Here they talk of metal barriers and grids, referencing both Rosalind Krauss and the idea of a metal barrier being a prequisite of Russian culture, a kind of a priori state of being -- being behind the metal grid, in the Russian language this directly also translates to being imprisoned, locked up
