LAST YEAR
Yes yes all these things we see could also be otherwise
infraordinary, public space

Paradoxes of connection
Critical capacities to relate playfully
research and process —
spending time in pubic space
playing around with words and meanings, out loud, with others, semiotic structures as a way to tame the chaos, etymology and repetition, circling around, exhausting a word, exhausting an encounter with something, associative writing, crossing out, words as found, relationship as found
THIS YEAR
Main connection with last — things transforming into another as interest in things fading away, people, moments, materialities wearing, tearing, disappearing
Please dont go, i love you!
pickled feelings crying birches
if you want to see something look at something else
Trying to analyze what I’m drawn to and what I collected last year
Worn, soon to disappear public structures with no use or concrete position in the space
Fear of losing, of disappearing, of transforming into another without return
Fear of things changing
Main elements want to work on this year:
Too much at once — simplify, focus, direct, clean
Find balance in “interaction”, don’t be afraid of also just being visual, atmospherical, suggestive, without puzzle to solve or concept to map out
But still maintain the “collage” form and the “unclarity” that is still in a way important
Approach absurdism in a more subtle, sensitive way, some things are absurd and huge, but I also collected the little absurdities of public space, try to find that angle
Relate work with children to own practice
Relate poetry to visual language, don’t be afraid of building up a universe of characters and spaces that don’t yet make conceptual or spectatorial sense, they need to leave the head (refusal to be clearly legible to a certain extent, don’t overdo)
General principles
Public space
“As found” - strategy
Spatial collage
Everyday architecture (seeing things that soon will no longer exist, visible fading of things)
Photography “as found”, in order to remember - strategy
Interesting when subjected to an alternative action — collected last year
Wear, tear, fragility, detachment from function, material fatigue
Collage (seem unified and consistent but at closer look - not integrated) - strategy
Heavy infested with lightness, light immunized through depth
