What dreams you dream if you fall asleep on glass
An imaginary map of thinking difficult things whilst spending unproductive time in urban spaces
A collection of words assembled intuitively whilst spending time in urban spaces. I sit outside and write down the first memory that comes to mind. Then I choose 10 words and cross out the rest, then 5, then 3 and then I am left with just one word. It is an incredible feeling to let go of the details, and be left with something completely else. This exercise I combine with the association game*, the double book game (this one I made up myself)* and writing automatic poetry. I would like to explore further the material potentials of language as well as the political aspects of collective reading and writing.
Some readings on the infraordinary, explorations into public space and everyday life
Riddles, fears, desires, news
Some words about all these things we see that could also be otherwise
and the pages after that
I would like to invite you to explore the things we see that could be otherwise:
The general structure of each page will be as follows:
- riddle structure in the centre
- additional information to the right
- question to be answered at the bottom of each page in order to be re-directed further
* association game
a game which involves at least 2 people, starting with one word, the next person says the first word that comes into their mind, with no hesitation
* double book game
a game which involves at least two people. each holds a book and, in turn, opens the book at any page and reads the first sentence/word they see with no hesitation. this turns into a dialogue of sorts and, often, an alternative narrative between the two or more books emerges.
