References

The reference feature allows you to create a reference library for your Research Catalogue exposition. Once you set up a reference library, you can easily cite items in your text like this (Cohen 1963), this (Rempel 1956) or this (Susskind 2014). References appear then as a popover, once you hover over their hyperlink. They are also grouped in the reference section of the meta page of your exposition, which is then easily accessible by directly clicking on a reference in the text. The reference section on the meta page appears like this:

BibTex Samples

For this tutorial we use some BibTex samples from: https://www.bibtex.com/e/entry-types/

References in BibTex format can be directly imported as Reference in Research Catalogue.

@article{CitekeyArticle,
 author = "P. J. Cohen",
title = "The independence of the continuum hypothesis",
journal = "Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences",
year = 1963,
volume = "50",
number = "6",
pages = "1143--1148",
}
@book{CitekeyBook,

}

Reference Import

You can create a new reference by going to the Ref tab, which is located on the right-hand side of the workspace editor. Click the ↥ button to import references.

A dialog will open with a form to enter the reference data.

Copy-paste your references in BibTex format.

Your references now appear in the toolbar reference section.

Reference Manual Entry

Alternatively, you can add references by explicit entry. To do this, click on the + sign in the Ref section of the toolbar.

A reference form will appear. Choose the most appropriate category for your reference from the multichoice menu on top. In this case we are adding a reference to a phd thesis.

Fill in the form with the reference data. Fields marked with * are required. Once you ar done, click submit.

The reference now appears in the toolbar reference section.

Using References

To cite the reference to the PhD thesis we just added, we click on the * button in the HTML editor toolbar.

A dropdown menu pops up, containing all your references. Selected the one you want to add, and click insert.

Your reference shall now appear as an hyperlink in the text. The hyperlink redirects to the meta page of your exposition, where all your references are listed in the reference section.
