Policy:
Everybody is equal and you dont have to fight for your rights. Feel free to do anything but it has to be legal.
In wich our ideas about a place to relax, surrounded by nature, sport, where we can come and sit together, work together and have open performances for all students of all disciplines are combined and realized.
Collaboration
It’s important to make a habit of attending performances/exhibitions/lectures/workshops/events/open rehearsals from other artistic disciplines for various reasons:
- By learning from other arts you learn their vocabulary, making it easier to start a conversation
- It deepens your understanding what art can be, thus enrich your own art
- It makes us more open as human beings
To make it easier we should have a platform to share our events, like regelloos.nl, but then in an even broader artistic sense with the aim to open up discussion. We should emphasize events like this that are inside the Fontys building, since we’re all together and there are lots of different rooms with possibilities.
We have three formats.
- Website
- Avantages: lots of different ways to upload things, like pictures, videos, links, calendar, papers
- Disadvantage: takes a bit of work to set up, and especially to maintain, particularly the calendar
- Physical room with calendar wall
- This aligns with the method of the rest of our working group which is creating a physical room
- Announcement group chat
- Have one representative per discipline to have the right to send a newsletter of their performances, events, workshops, open rehearsals, lectures, exhibitions, anything
- Rules: short messages, preferably just a flyer/photo, max ~50 words
Concept of open studio:
Create a save space like an ‘open studio’. It is a space where people can try their new material. This is for performers and art creators to show their practice. It would be interesting to show your own practice to other disciplines and get feedback/feedforward from people of other disciplines about how they experience it from there artistically point of view.
We should actively encourage people to step out of their bubble and attend events they wouldn’t usually go to.
