From my collection, themes are emerging, on this page I aim to create a constellation of these themes and the way they relate to eachother. These Themes are dived deeper into individually as well. Of course sometimes they start to overlap, On this page I make space to describe these relations and more broader thematic interests and inspirations.
In continuing my research about how the creation of scenographic work can become a bigger part of the work that is shown to the audience I am experimenting with and diving deeper into potential performative elements technology and technicians have, and relating them to works of others.
I look at Choreography in relation to the movements of Technicians, to explore the performativity in their interactions with the set and technologies, specifically to find ways to make them experienceable for a spectator.
I investigate the Aesthetics of Technologies, discovering how these functional objects can become the set, setting and props for a performance. How does their materiality relate to that of conventional props, and how can their (non)functionality become intertwined with the dramaturgy of a performance.
On a deeper level I look into what it means to expose a spectator to the backstage and inner workings of a performance. How does it relate to past performances and makers who used this and similar methods to send a message to their audience.
