Experimenting with sound in Adobe Audition. I layered fifteen sounds taken from different cities into one 'melody'. I suppose this project is about being in control of sound and creating my own space.

This uses sounds from 'small observations' such as the green man crossing, people laughing, overheard conversations. Also sounds from the city transport in four different cities. They are layered over a song that gives a rhythmic structure to the piece and acts as a base layer, Leon Vynehall- Movemenets (Chapter 3).

I will add imagery at a later date.

An initial experiment that looked at the question "How can I use light in combination with sound to re-imagine a space?"

Using street recordings from Kyiv, I used Resolume to experiment with audio-reactive projections.

"Although not being visual, these recordings painted a picture of the city, it’s a warm summer’s evening which can be felt through the vibrations, the beat, rhythm and the pace of the sound. You can feel the size of the space through the echo in the metro station, and the mood from the sound of laughter or of whispers."

Along with the sound recordings, I also started recording observations I made in the spaces I visited. These recordings will be used to make abstract visuals in Premiere Pro.
