The International Theatre Conference provides a platform for bringing diverse approaches to research in theatre practice and theory into dialogue. Over the years, the event has brought together more than one hundred professional artists, researchers and doctoral students from across Europe, Africa, North and South America, and Asia, who come to Brno to present research in progress and to discuss shared methodological concerns in an international setting. Since 2015, the conference has intensified its interdisciplinary character and has been moving towards an issue-based definition of its topic; in 2015, the thematic focus was devoted to artistic research.
The International Conference of the Faculty of Music of JAMU aims to provide a broad platform for reflection on current trends and research topics in the field of musical art, musicology, music management, or music pedagogy and their mutual overlaps. The meeting seeks to organically connect research in the aforementioned areas into a wide spectrum of possible artistic or scientific approaches.
The annual International Doctoral Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Music of JAMU is intended for students of doctoral study programs dealing with the reflection of music, musical interpretation, composition, or musical production, but also research on topics from related fields. Students from art universities, as well as students from musicology, music pedagogy etc. participate here. Thematic definition is free, the purpose of the meeting is to enable all doctoral students to present their professional and creative activities.
